JH Landscapes Ltd were proud to be a part of a community project for a local school to provide a nature pond for the children to enjoy for years to come. The hole was originally dug for the project but the school ran out of money to progress the project any further.
Before works commenced:
The local Friends of Bosbury School charity (FOBS) approached JH Landscapes to help get this project off the ground and with a combination of funds from the charity, donations from generous local businesses and labour/materials from JH Landscapes Ltd we are proud to say that the school pond is now officially finished and open for the children to enjoy. The fence around the pond was the first feature to be installed along with a lockable gate. The pond has then been reshaped and lined with a rubber geotextile membrane that has been trenched in and we also provided a handmade dipping platform that lays across the pond.
FOBS then planted the pond up using wildlife friendly plants, aquatics and marginals to create the finished look
Our sister company www.getlogs.co.uk provided huge log stumps for the children to sit on whilst enjoying their lessons around the pond.
I think you will agree that the finished project is super and an important learning tool for the children of Bosbury School for years to come
